Having trouble with your profile? Here are solutions to common profile-related issues.
Photo Will Not Upload
If your profile photo is not uploading:
Check file requirements
- Supported formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP
- Maximum file size: 5MB
- Recommended dimensions: At least 200x200 pixels
Common issues and fixes
- -File too large: Compress your image or resize it before uploading
- -Wrong format: Convert HEIC files (common on iPhone) to JPG
- -Upload stuck: Try a different browser or disable ad blockers
- -Error message: Refresh the page and try uploading again
Tip: For best results, use a square image with your face clearly visible and centered.
Profile Changes Not Saving
If your profile edits are not being saved:
- 1Click the Save button
Changes are not auto-saved. Look for a "Save" or "Update Profile" button after making changes
- 2Wait for confirmation
A success message should appear. If you see an error, note the message
- 3Check for validation errors
Fields may have required formats (e.g., valid URLs for links)
- 4Check your internet connection
A stable connection is required to save changes to the server
Warning: Refreshing or navigating away before saving will discard your changes.
Not Appearing on Leaderboard
If you have completed an assessment but do not see yourself on the leaderboard:
Check your profile visibility settings
- - Your profile must be set to Public to appear on the leaderboard
- - Go to Settings and check "Profile Visibility"
- - Private profiles are not shown in rankings
Verify you have a completed evaluation
- - Only completed and scored evaluations count
- - In-progress or abandoned evaluations do not qualify
- - Check your dashboard for evaluation status
Score visibility
- - If you received a refund with score hiding, you will not appear
- - Hidden scores are not included in leaderboard calculations
Note: The leaderboard updates in real-time, so changes should appear immediately after updating your settings.
Username Issues
Issues with your username (display name):
Username requirements
- 2-50 characters in length
- Letters, numbers, spaces, hyphens, and underscores allowed
- Cannot be empty or only whitespace
Common problems
- -Special characters rejected: Remove any special characters like @, #, or emojis
- -Name not updating: Make sure to save after changing your name
- -Old name still showing: Clear your browser cache or try a hard refresh
Tip: Your display name is what appears on the leaderboard and your public profile. Use a professional name that you would want colleagues to see.
