Adding Work Experience
To add a new work experience entry:
- Go to Profile Settings
- Scroll to the "Work Experience" section
- Click the "Add Experience" button
- Fill in the details (title is required)
- Click "Save" to add the entry
Experience Fields
Title (Required)
The position title, such as "Senior Software Engineer" or "Product Manager at Google". You can include the company name here or keep it separate.
Description (Optional)
A detailed description of your role, responsibilities, and achievements. Supports full Markdown formatting.
Great things to include:
- Key responsibilities and projects
- Technologies and tools used
- Measurable achievements
- AI/ML related work (relevant for AI CRED)
Descriptions with Markdown
Make your work descriptions stand out using Markdown formatting:
Example formatted description:
**Key Achievements:** - Led AI integration reducing manual work by 60% - Built ML pipeline processing 1M+ records daily - Mentored team of 5 junior engineers **Technologies:** Python, TensorFlow, AWS [View project case study](https://example.com)
Ordering Experiences
Your work experiences are displayed in the order you set. Most recent should typically be first.
How to reorder:
- Look for the drag handle (six dots) on each entry
- Click and hold the drag handle
- Drag the entry to its new position
- Release to drop - order saves automatically
Visibility Controls
Each work experience has its own visibility toggle, independent of your main profile visibility.
This experience shows on your public profile when your profile is set to public.
This experience is saved but won't appear on your public profile.
Editing and Deleting
To edit an experience:
- Click the edit icon on the experience card
- Modify the title or description
- Click "Save" to update
To delete an experience:
- Click the trash icon on the experience card
- Confirm the deletion in the popup
- The entry is permanently removed
