Velocity Rating
Your Velocity Rating measures your learning trajectory, not just where you are, but how fast you're growing in AI fluency.
What Velocity Measures
While your score tells employers and colleagues where you currently stand, your Velocity Rating tells a different story: how quickly you're improving. This is valuable information because a candidate with a 5.5 score and HIGH velocity may be a better hire than someone with a 6.5 score and LOW velocity.
Rate of Change
How quickly your score is changing
Time Frame
Calculated from your assessment history
Growth Potential
Indicates future trajectory
HIGH
You are rapidly improving your AI fluency. Your scores are increasing noticeably between assessments taken within short intervals.
What This Looks Like:
- -Score increases of 0.5+ points in under a month
- -Consistent upward trend across multiple assessments
- -Rapid skill acquisition in new AI competencies
- -Quick adaptation to new AI tools and techniques
Typical For:
Users who are actively learning, completing learning modules, and practicing regularly.
MEDIUM
You are making steady progress at a sustainable pace. Your skills are improving, though more gradually than HIGH velocity learners.
What This Looks Like:
- -Gradual score increases over 1-3 months
- -Stable performance with occasional improvements
- -Consistent application of learned skills
- -Steady engagement with AI tools
Typical For:
Users who use AI regularly but are not in an intensive learning phase. This is a healthy, sustainable growth rate.
LOW
Your score has remained relatively stable for an extended period. This could indicate a plateau in your learning or reduced engagement with AI development.
What This Looks Like:
- -Minimal score change over 3+ months
- -Scores fluctuating within a narrow range
- -No significant improvement despite time passing
- -Possible skill stagnation
Typical For:
Users who may have reached a comfort zone, aren't actively learning, or face barriers to skill development.
How to Improve Your Velocity
If you're at LOW or MEDIUM velocity and want to accelerate your growth, here are proven strategies:
Complete Your Learning Plan
After each assessment, you receive a personalized learning plan. Working through these modules is the most direct path to skill improvement.
Practice Deliberately
Don't just use AI passively. Actively experiment with new prompt techniques, try different AI tools, and push yourself to solve harder problems.
Take Regular Assessments
Velocity is measured from your assessment history. Taking assessments every few weeks while actively learning helps demonstrate your improvement.
Focus on Weak Dimensions
Check your dimension breakdown and target areas where you have the most room for improvement. Quick gains here boost your overall trajectory.
Important Note
Velocity Rating requires at least two assessments to calculate. After your first assessment, you won't have a velocity rating until you complete a second one. The more assessments in your history, the more accurate your velocity calculation becomes.
