The Master Visibility Toggle
In your Profile Settings, you'll find a single toggle that controls your entire profile's visibility. This is your master switch - when it's off, nobody except you can see your profile.
Where to find it: Go to Profile Settings and scroll to the "Privacy Settings" section at the bottom.
What "Public" Means
When your profile is public, the following becomes visible to anyone:
Your profile photo, name, and headline
Your AI CRED score and velocity rating
Work experiences marked as visible
Profile links marked as visible
Your profile will be accessible at aicred.io/profile/your-username
What "Private" Means
When your profile is private (the default), your information is completely hidden from public view:
Your profile URL shows a "Private Profile" message
You do NOT appear on the public leaderboard
Your score is only visible to you in your dashboard
No one can find you through search or browsing
Note: Private is the default setting. Your profile won't be visible until you explicitly turn on the public toggle.
When to Go Public
Consider making your profile public when:
Job Hunting
Share your AI CRED score with potential employers
Professional Networking
Let colleagues and connections see your AI fluency
Building Credibility
Establish yourself as an AI-fluent professional
Leaderboard Competition
Compete for top rankings on the public leaderboard
Pro tip: You can toggle your visibility anytime. Go public when sharing your profile, then switch back to private if you prefer.
