How the Assessment Works
AI CRED evaluations are fundamentally different from traditional tests. Instead of multiple-choice questions, you have a natural conversation with an AI evaluator that adapts to your responses.
Conversational AI Evaluation
Unlike traditional assessments with predetermined questions and answers, AI CRED uses a conversational format. You chat naturally with an AI evaluator who asks follow-up questions based on your responses.
This means every assessment is unique. The AI adapts to your skill level, diving deeper into areas where you show expertise and exploring topics you mention.
Not Multiple Choice
There are no A, B, C, D options. You respond in your own words, explaining your experience, demonstrating your knowledge, and discussing how you use AI tools in practice. This approach measures real fluency, not test-taking ability.
6 Structured Sections
The assessment is divided into 6 distinct sections, each focusing on different aspects of AI fluency:
- Introduction and AI Tools background
- Technical Understanding
- Practical Application
- Critical Evaluation
- Workflow Design
- Synthesis and Wrap-up
Each section flows naturally into the next, with the AI guiding the transition.
AI Evaluators (Claude or Gemini)
Your assessment is conducted by advanced AI models from Anthropic (Claude) or Google (Gemini). These models are specifically prompted to evaluate AI fluency consistently and fairly.
The AI evaluator is not trying to trick you or catch you out. Its goal is to understand your genuine level of AI fluency through natural conversation.
Natural Conversation Flow
The conversation feels natural because:
- The AI asks follow-up questions based on what you say
- You can elaborate on topics you know well
- There is no pressure to give a "right" answer
- The AI meets you at your current skill level
Key Tip
Be yourself. The assessment is designed to measure your actual AI fluency, not your ability to guess what the evaluator wants to hear. Authentic responses lead to accurate scores and more useful learning recommendations.
